Charter
The Alliance enables us to do things we otherwise would not be able to do. For example: Planes, Dragons, and much more. It was started when small guilds realized they would never be able to do these things own their own. Rather than join another guild and lose their identity, these guilds formed the first Alliance on Cazic Thule. Alliance Guilds The Alliance currently consists of First Defenders, Hands of Chaos, The Protectorate, , the Sacred Silver Blades, , An Rach, Knights of The Round Table, Revolution’s Edge, and Clockwork Tinker’s Union. Brotherhood of Pathfinders and Clan Axepeak are also both members of the Alliance, but due to a lack of activity within these guilds, their members are allowed to attend raids and collect EPN, but they do not have guild representatives. We are very friendly with these guys and if you ever need a group just do a /who all. As you join more and more raids you will soon realize that you see Alliance members everywhere you go. Say hi, give a port, buff, res, ask if they need a group or got a spot open. The following are the guild reps and the leadership council for the Alliance:

Membership in the Alliance
Defining Membership
1. Guilds that are currently members of The Alliance are: First Defenders, Hand
of Chaos, Sacred Silver Blades, An Rach, Clan Axepeak, The Protectorate, Knights
of The Round Table, Clockwork Tinker’s Union, and Revolution’s Edge.
2. Any guild member of an Alliance guild is automatically considered a member of
The Alliance unless otherwise stated
3. Should a member leave their guild for whatever reason, they remain a member
of The Alliance only if:
a) They leave their guild in good standing (This is decided by the GM of that
guild).
b) They remain unguilded
c) Or join another allied guild.
Tagging of characters into non-alliance guilds:
Anyone who re-tags their alliance characters into a non-alliance guild forfeit
their EPN. If they only retag part of their raid capable characters it shall be
up to their guild to determine if enough are left to maintain activity. Should
their guild determine they cannot, all EPN are forfeit.
Please note that should a person deguild from its current Alliance guild and
remain unguilded, that person is to be considered a member of the Alliance and
its EPN will remain intact, unless the guild leader of the person's former guild
decides that the character left the guild in bad standing, at which point the
player is considered to be out of the Alliance and all EPNs erased.
Guests
1. Each guild is permitted to carry 2 official guests. Official guests are
considered full members of The Alliance and are allowed to collect EPN and loot
as any other member.
2. Guests must be made aware of all rules and regulations concerning The
Alliance, this is the job of the guild that invited them.
3. Unofficial guests are allowed, but it must first be cleared with the raid
leader as there are sometimes restrictions based upon levels and the number of
folks who can attend. Unofficial guests are permitted loot ONLY when all members
have passed on it.
Adding New Guilds to The Alliance
1. Any guild may be considered for joining The Alliance, this is however based
on whether or not the Guild Reps decide if they are recruiting any at the time.
2. Guilds wanting to join must contact a Guild Rep for consideration, it will
then be decided by vote whether to admit that guild in a probationary status.
3. Probationary status can last up to 3 months. After each month, the guild is
voted upon whether to admit them or not. At the end of 3 months if the guild is
not voted in then their probationary status is revoked and they are turned down
for admittance.
4. During probationary periods, all members of that guild are considered full
members of The Alliance and earn EPN.
EPN
Defining EPN
1. EPN is Event Participation Number. This is used to determine whose turn it is
to loot.
2. EPN is earned on each Official Event you go to. EPN is determined by the
Event Coordinator and is posted with the event what that number will be, it’s
usually one or two per event.
3. EPN is tracked via the Roster.
4. EPN is awarded to the person playing the character, and not the character
that is actually there. All alts will receive the same addition/subtraction as
the character that they play at the event.
5. In order to receive EPN, you must attend a minimum of two hours of the raid,
or be there from beginning to end if the raid is shorter in time (some Epic
Events are like this).
6) Upon returning back into the Alliance from an extended absence your EPN
totals will be returned in full. Provide you have met the requirements
outlined in the Membership section.
Roster
1. EPN is tracked via the Roster.
2. Only characters 46+ in levels are listed on the roster.
3. You must attend an Official Event before being listed on the roster, this
applies to alts as well. If you are a alt please inform the Loot coordinator
4. Occasionally people will be running a friend’s account to improve our class
mix. If this happens EPNs will be awarded to the person who is running the
character (and not to the character who is actually there).
Be aware of what your EPN is, mistakes do happen and if they do, notify the Loot
Coordinator via email to correct the problem.
Selling/Transfering characters:
Any player who turns possession of their account over to another player who is
not an Alliance member, BY WHATEVER MEANS, shall forfeit all EPNs. Further, if
characters on said account have equipment which was gotten by way of EPNs then
the player may be barred from returning to the Alliance for violating policies
on giving away EPN-earned items.
Selling or transfering Characters to Alliance Members:
Characters go under the new owner's EPN. Old Players EPNs are wiped.
Events/Raids
Offical Raids
Offical raids are scheduled by the Raid Planner and are posted on the raids
section of the message board. EPN is awarded at all offical raids, but the
amount of EPN can vary from raid to raid. Each posted raid will state how much
EPN is to be awarded.
The nature of each raid is different, and can vary greatly from raid to raid.
Information about the raid is posted along with the times and dates of each
raid.
If you wish to suggest, request, or comment on an offical raid, please contact
the Raid Planner.
Epics Events
1) Any Official Epic Event in question must be doable by 3 groups or more. Any
less and you will just need to schedule them on your own. I'm sure you can get
the forces if your post is given in ample time, has good information, is
written tactfully, and you have helped others.
2) You must be at least level 51. It is possible to start Epics before hand
but several NPCs will not respond to Hail prior to 50th. Also the turning
in of items prior to 50th may not get you a returned item.
3) You must have at least 20 EPN, including any EPN that was spent on gear.
4) Epic help may be offically requested for an alternate character, even when
the main has already obtained an epic, so long as the character is level 52 or
higher, and the owner has 40 or more EPN, including points spent on items.
MoOs
MOO. Acronym for Mob of Oportunity. This is a mob the alliance would schedule a
full scale raid for, and award EPN for, but due too the contested nature of the
spawn a raid cannot be scheduled. The raid must be called on the fly, and
therefore does not pass our normal guidelines for an "Official" raid.
Participants in a MoO raid will be awarded 1 EPN, and all loot is to be done by
EPN.
The following is a list of creatures officially recognized as MoOs:
Sev (EJ Dragon)
Talendor
KD (CS dragon)
Faydedar (Timorous Deep dragon, NOT the one for the druid epic)
Venril Sathir
Trakanon
Golems in Fear
Minibosses in Hate
Gorenaire
Derakor The Vindicator
Velketor The Sorcerer
Lord Bob (The efreeti in Velk’s Lab)
Zlandicar
Campable/Spotable Mobs:
There are some monsters that have good drops but are relatively easy and do not
require a full-scale raid, but have very long spawn times to offset this. Since
these mobs are generally very highly contested, it may become necessary to camp
the mob to ensure that the Alliance can get there first. No EPN is awarded, and
loot is to be done by Need Before Greed or /random, with one exception: The
“camper” or “spotter,” is allowed to get first pick of the loot.
Phin Autrops
Lodizal
Venril Sathir Remains
Master Yael
Ragefire (Skyfire version, I believe this one goes without saying)
Scout Charisna (The Benevolence quest in Western Wastes)
Loot Rules/Guidelines
1) Upon creation of groups the group leader will designate someone in the group
to be the group’s “looter.” After a kill that person will loot the mob and
/tell the Loot Coordinator any dropped items (excluding coin, research, gems,
and trinkets). Dropable items should be looted to prevent rotting. Coins, gems,
and trinkets (items that sell for coin but have no other stats/use) will be
retained until the end of the raid and turned into the designated collection
individual for that raid. Trinkets are sold and the money placed in the Alliance
bank to reimburse clerics, etc. for reagents, to fund raids, resist jewelry and
the like (coffins, etc). Research items may be distributed to anyone who wants
them.
2) The Loot Coordinator will announce any drops over raid channels. Intersted
parties will /tell the coordinator if they wish to be considered for the item.
Items will be awarded based on the following prioritys:
- Highest EPN
- If tied on EPN, lowest number of total loots
- If tied on loots, /randomed
The Loot Coordinator will determine the 'winner' of the item and announce it in
channels. At this time the player may loot, and EPNs are deducted. Guidelines on
item EPN cost are located on the bottom of the roster, however these are only
guidelines. The Loot Coordinator determines the EPN cost at the time of the
drop. If you have any question about what an item is going to cost you ask
before you loot an item.
3) Once someone has received loot they are done looting for the day unless
everyone in his or her class has also looted or others who are eligible pass on
the item. Then they would be back up.
4) With players who are playing two or more characters at one raid, both
characters will be considered mains if and only if both characters are
contributing equally to the raid. Both characters may loot as the main of that
player, and any loots by either character count towards the players one loot per
day.
5) Alternate characters on a raid do not have the same looting rights as a main
character. Alternate characters are only elligible to loot items which will
'rot'. Only NO DROP, non-multiquestable items can 'rot', tradeable items must go
to the bank if no mains claim them and the bank policies then apply. The only
exception to this rule is when a player is playing a character which is, in the
judgement of the Reps/raid leadership, critical to the success/safety of the
raid. In this instance, a player may loot with a camped character as if it were
a main character.
The EPN system is pretty fair. Yes mistakes will and do happen. One other thing
to keep in mind when you get 50+ people together there is going to be bickering,
whining, etc. It happens... This is the down side to the Alliance but if you go
into it with an attitude that those things are going to happen you will be much
happier.
Upon a mob being slain with a no drop item on it you have eight minutes to loot
it before the item rots (if the mob is lower then 55th level). So listen for the
loot calls and at least have a general idea of what you want in a particular
zone. If you want the item that dropped be Sure to send a /TELL to the Loot
Coordinator.
Giving away/Selling Bank Items:
All droppable items are considered Alliance property. If you cannot use it
anymore, someone else in the alliance can. Return the item to the bank for an
EPN refund. Anyone who sells or otherwise gives away EPN items without the prior
consent of the Reps will be banned from looting, earning epn, and other
penalties as determined by the guild reps until such a time as the member
replaces the item in question.
Leave of Abscence:
Any member who does not attend an EPN raid for three straight months shall be
considered on leave. The only exception is military duty. Any member returning
from leave must attend 2 epn raids to begin looting again, and 2 Epic raids to
recieve help on their epics again.
Chat Channels
The Alliance currently has three offical chat channels: A general channel, for
just about anything, a raid channel, which functions exactly like shout used to
be used, which means that there is to be no chatter on it, and it may only be
used for raid message (such as slow, incoming, announcement of loots, etc).
There is also a channel specifically for those who have access to the guild rep
forum, so that they might discuss Alliance issues in real time. All of these
channels are password protected. If you need the name and password of these
channels, please ask your guild rep.
